How do you help clients?
I help clients define their needs, prioritize those needs, and communicate them to the development team. Then, I work as the liaison between those who use the product and those who build it.
Tell us about your background or training.
I have a BA in Multimedia Journalism and a Masters in Creative Writing. After 5 years in higher education, I have accumulated a lot of different experiences. In my last role, I was responsible for a lot of the electronic systems we used for our students and have been able to leverage that experience in my work at Far Reach.
What is your work mantra?
Embrace creative solutions and give space for out-of-the-box thinking. The results may surprise and delight you.
What are you reading?
I read everything from nonfiction to poetry to fiction. Currently, I’m starting my annual reread of The Lord of the Rings.
Whom do you follow?
I’ve learned it is better for me to intentionally seek out information rather than to follow things, so I don’t follow anyone in particular. When the mood strikes me to learn about a particular topic, I like to search for it broadly to get a wide foundation of different opinions and expertise.
Where do you see the field going in 1-3 years?
AI seems to be the hottest topic at the moment, and I think it will continue to become a widely used tool. The challenge I am seeing is people learning how to use that tool and when it applies.
