After the Malcolm Price Laboratory School (Price Lab) closed, alumni and friends of the school partnered with Far Reach to develop a website that memorializes the school.
Far Reach designed and developed a responsive website, which means it’s automatically optimized for viewing on any screen size—from TV-sized screens to mobile phones.
The site engages users by:
, facts, stories, and more, the Price Lab History website contains a large collection of the school’s history to help alumni and community members remember and celebrate Price Lab’s legacy.
In building this site, it was important to the Alumni & Friends of Price Laboratory School (AFPLS) to connect the school’s students. The class-by-class
feature is a collection of ways alumni can connect with their respective classes.
We developed a custom memories module
that allows alumni and friends to share their memories of the school. Others can view and comment on shared memories, and site moderators have full control over content that’s posted.
AFPLS needs donations to continue archiving Price Lab school history via this website, as well as for building a commemorative plaza and monument, and a Commemorative Wall at Schindler Education Center. A link from the Price Lab History site to a page on the UNI Foundation website facilitates the collection of online donations to help with these initiatives.
All these features are managed in the Sitefinity
content management system (CMS), so the alumni and friends group can easily add and update content.
