Birdies by Eagles Site Goes Live
Far Reach recently worked with the Winnebago Council Boy Scouts of America to develop a new website for their Birdies by Eagles fundraiser. Birdies by Eagles challenges Eagle Scouts Tony Thompson and James Leffler to play golf for 24 hours, non-stop on May 23. Their goal is to raise $1,000 per birdie, collecting pledges via their new website.

Mike Cole to Participate in Meet the Madmen
Far Reach developer Mike Cole will be one of several Cedar Valley technology and advertising professionals to be featured at “Meet the Madmen (and Women)” on April 24 at 5:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Cedar Valley and offers aspiring advertising students the opportunity to network with professionals, speed dating style.
Meet the Madmen will take place at St. Stephens Church in Cedar Falls. The event is free for students. For more details and to RSVP, check out the AAF’s website.

Kate Named 2012 Alumna in Residence
Far Reach Partner Kate Washut was named one of five University of Northern Iowa (UNI) College of Business Administration’s distinguished Alumni in Residence for 2012. Kate was nominated by Dr. Rex Karsten on behalf of the Management Department.
Alumni in Residence participate in a variety of events on April 12 as part of the Class of 2012 Graduation Celebration. Kate will meet with current Management Information Students (MIS) for a Q & A session, serve on a panel with the other chosen alumni, participate in a luncheon at the UNI President’s house, and attend a student awards ceremony.
Kate is a 1998 UNI graduate with a degree in MIS. You can visit the UNI website for more information on the 2012 Alumni in Residence program.

Koch Construction's New Website Goes Live
Far Reach recently developed a new website for Koch Construction. Koch Construction was founded in 1980 on the old world values of craftsmanship, work ethic, and integrity. They offer commercial, industrial, and residential remodeling and roofing.
Koch needed a new website they could easily maintain, and one that better reflected the quality of their brand and showcased their work. They worked with Far Reach to accomplish all of these goals.

Far Reach Nominated for Business Partner of the Year
Far Reach was recently nominated for a Cedar Valley Nonprofit Award in the category of Business Partner of the Year. The nomination came as a result of Far Reach’s sponsorship of the inaugural UNI Dance Marathon. Far Reach sponsored the event by donating the development of the unidancemarathon.com website.
The first UNI Dance Marathon raised a record-breaking $56,473 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals this year.
